Ep 337: Getting a Publicist to Maximize Your Outreach with Tam Lawrence

Elzie interviews PR expert Tam Lawrence to discuss the importance of understanding PR in business. Tam emphasizes the value of working with a publicist in developing a long-term strategy for an organization's brand. She suggests that business owners consult with a PR person to break down the facets of their business, understand their audience, and develop campaigns that are appropriate for their brand. Tam explains that marketing and PR go hand in hand as appropriate messaging is crucial in developing a successful marketing campaign. She also advises business owners to be clear about their demographics, including age group, income, and nationality, before working with a marketing company.

Listen to this insightful mini-episode and learn about the essential role of public relations in building a strong brand and developing effective marketing campaigns. Discover the benefits of seasonal PR services and gain insight into the interrelationship between PR and marketing.

Highlight:

01:01 -  If I look back 30 years and I said, what was the first thing that I wish I would have had? I wish I would have had an opportunity to sit down with a PR person and really just put it all on the table and get the help to really break apart all of the facets of my business so that I could be able to build a Coca Cola, build a clientele. That would be longevity, not just a short term trendy or viral campaign because traditional values are Polo, Pepsi. So if it was me and I could go back 20 years and reshape my business, I think I would start with consulting with a publicist.
